Eriko Yamaji
Eriko YAMAJI started playing the piano at the age of three, and the organ at Tohoku Gakuin University in Miyagi, Japan. She obtained her Bachelor and Master of Music diploma with the specialty in 《organ》 at the Tokyo University of the Arts and received the Graduate School Acanthus Award. She also studied the organ (Perfectionnement), the harpsichord (obtained DEM), the improvisation and the early music at Conservatoire de Toulouse for two years. She was the finalist of the International Organ Competition Pierre de Manchicourt in 2020. She has studied the organ with Michel Bouvard, Rie Hiroe and Naoko Imai, and studied the harpsichord with Yasuko Bouvard, Asami Hirosawa and Eva Del Campo Cassé. She studied the piano with Eriko Kikuchi and Kousuke Kita, the basso continuo with Yuichiro Shiina, and the improvisation with Philippe Lefebvre and Takeshi Kondo. She was the Aoyama Music Foundation Scholarship Student in 2017, the 17th internship organist at Yokohama Minato Mirai Hall, and also the 10th recipient of the Japan Public-Private Partnership Student Study Abroad Program. She is currently enrolled in a doctoral course of Music at the Tokyo University of the Arts and performs all over Japan. She is also a teaching assistant and a research assistant at the same university. She is an organist at Tohoku Gakuin University and Sendai Ichibancho Church, and a member of the Japan Association of Organists.
